AIVA VIDEO INTERVIEW — How to Run a Candidate Interview

AIVA Async Video Interview lets you send a candidate a link. They record video answers to your questions in their browser — no app, no download, no scheduling. AIVA transcribes every answer and scores it. You see the decision without watching the video.

Step-by-Step Employer — create & view

Open the AIVA page and click Create
Go to the AIVA Assessments page. Click the Create tab at the top. Then click Create Video Interview.

Fill in the interview details
Enter the candidate's email (the link is email-locked — only this candidate can submit). Enter the job role and your questions. Add up to 10 questions. Click Create Interview.
The email-lock prevents other people from submitting answers if the link is forwarded. Only the email you specify can submit.

Copy the interview link
After creating the interview, a link appears on screen. Click Copy Link. This is the candidate-facing URL. The link expires after 7 days.

Send the link to the candidate
Paste the link into an email, WhatsApp message, or SMS. The candidate clicks it, enters their email to verify identity, then records video answers directly in their browser — no app, no account, no download required.

Candidate records and submits
The candidate sees the job role and each question one at a time. They record a video answer for each question. The page includes proctoring: tab switching and paste events are logged. When done, they click Submit.

The candidate does not need an account. They only need a device with a camera and microphone (phone or laptop) and a modern browser.

View results
Return to the AIVA page. Click the View Results tab. Select Video Interview from the dropdown. Paste the interview token (shown when you created the interview) and click View Results.

This guide explains how to run an AIVA async video interview for call center and BPO candidate screening. The employer creates an interview on aiscreeningtools.com/aiva/, enters the candidate's email (which locks the submission to that candidate only), the job role, and up to 10 interview questions. After creating the interview, a shareable link is generated. The employer sends the link to the candidate via email or WhatsApp. The candidate opens the link in their browser, records video answers to each question — no app, no account, and no download is required. A camera and microphone on any modern device is sufficient. The recording page includes proctoring: tab-switch events and paste events are logged and included in the results. After the candidate submits, AIVA uses OpenAI Whisper to transcribe each video answer and Claude AI to score the response on a 0–100 scale. The employer views results on the View Results tab — selecting Video Interview, pasting the token, and reading the score, decision (HIRE, INTERVIEW, HOLD, or REJECT), transcript, and proctoring signals per question.
